I began to play piano in 1983. My musical work in the electronic domain started 1992 with one Roland JD-800 Synthesizer. A lot of equipment was added to my studio during the following years.
Times have since changed and technology advanced at a pace only few could have imagined 20 years ago.
Today I work almost entirely with virtual instruments. It offers me endless possibilities and flexibility in a way which would almost be impossible with hardware synthesizers.
I like to combine artificially created sounds with natural instruments, ambient recordings, tones and noises. I strive for complement and not for competition. It's my belief that it's impossible to dominate nature with technology. Technology is and will always be inferior. Even more - from a higher perspective, technology as we know it is nothing more than nature, artificially shaped to perform a specific task. So I ask you - how would you want to create and maintain technology without nature? What would you create it from? How would you drive it?
My musical work is hard to categorize. Consistency within a certain style has never been a goal of mine.
